WINDSURF

Jericoacoara offers unrivaled conditions for windsurfing. Strong wind and wavy waters, with waves forming close to the shore. The average wind speed between June and July is between 12 and 18 knots. From mid-July until December, the wind begins to pick up, reaching an average of 20 knots with 30 knots’ gusts, offering the best conditions for Slalom and Freestyle. After September waves are higher. From October to November waves reach 2 meters and, together with the wind blowing against the waves, windsurfing in Jericoacoara will be an unforgettable experience!

After December the wind gets weaker, but it is still possible to windsurf. For beginners, the inside part of the inlet is perfect for taking morning windsurf lessons.
Jericoacoara is the best place to learn Wave, due to the direction of the wind in relation to the waves.
